New Delhi: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, many Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leaders have joined opposition parties. Among those Dr Dharam Singh Saini also defected from the saffron party to Samajwadi Party (SP). However, he had an embarrassing moment today at a public meet, where he was shouted out by people. Many people started shouting slogans of Jai Shri Ram, which left the SP candidate red faced. The video of the incident has now gone viral on the internet on Friday.
In the video, one can see some people start shouting Jai Shri Ram as the host announces that Mr Saini will now present his views. Following this, Saini became furious at the miscreant persons. He asked them the stop and said to them that he respects the slogan but it is not right to use the slogan here. He added saying he can also get slogans against BJP candidates.
After getting a reply from Saini, people reportedly got calm down.
Samajwadi Party has given him a ticket from Nakud Vidhan Sabah seat of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Dharam Singh Saini and others recently join SP
Dharam Singh Saini joined the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi party two weeks ago on January 13. Saini joined the SP along with Swami Prasad Maurya, Bhagwati Sagar, and Vinay Shakya in presence of Akhilesh Yadav.
Saini was Ayush Minister in the Yogi Adityanath government. He had accused the BJP of not listening to the backward class.
I have resigned because for 5 years Dalits, backward classes were suppressed, their voices were suppressed… We will do whatever Swami Prasad Maurya will say.
