New Delhi: In a shocking incident, the Irate villagers have blackened the face of a school teacher with ink and garlanded him with shoes in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district for allegedly showing pornographic videos to girls inside the classroom.
Also, it has been alleged that he also touched the girls inappropriately.
This comes after girl students of an upgraded middle school in Noamundi block had told their parents about the teacher, said the police.
Following which the villagers had lodged a written complaint against the accused on Wednesday.
Since no action was taken against him despite a complaint was lodged, after which the villages decided to punish the teacher in a meeting.
On Thursday, mostly women of the village caught hold of the teacher and applied ink on his face and garlanded him with shoes.
The police reached the spot after villagers were taking him to a nearby railway station after parading him in Badajamda area and rescued him.
According to the police, the protesters staged a dharna outside the police outpost where they demanded that the accused should be sent to jail.
Meanwhile, Basudev Toppo, Officer-in-Charge of Badajamda police station said the matter was being looked into.
