Kanpur: PM Modi will give the unique gift of Metro Rail to the industrial city on Tuesday

The PM, accompanied by CM Yogi Adityanath, will travel by metro along with inspecting the 9 km long stretch from IIT Kanpur to Moti Jheel.

Lucknow, Dec 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to give the biggest and the most unique gift ever to Kanpur, the industrial metropolis of UP. PM Modi, who is coming to Kanpur on December 28, to dedicate to public, accessible and smart transportation facilities to the people of the city. On Tuesday, the Prime Minister will inaugurate one section of the Kanpur Metro Rail project in the metropolis situated on the banks of river Ganga.

The PM, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will travel by metro train along with inspecting the 9 km long stretch from IIT Kanpur to Moti Jheel, built at a cost of over Rs 11,000 crore.

According to PM Modi’s thinking of providing superfast transport service to the cities, now Kanpur metropolis will also run at a faster speed. This will give impetus to the development of UP. The people of the city will get the facility of accessible, pollution-free travel. Industrial activities will also increase rapidly.

Along with traveling the metro rail, will also inspect the nine km section of the metro rail project prepared with a cost of Rs 11,000 crore:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts, which have always been focused on improving mobility in cities as well as making urban life smarter, will bring a big change in the lives of people in Kanpur city. The inauguration of the completed section of Kanpur Metro Rail Project will be a big step in this direction. Prime Minister Modi will take a metro ride from IIT Metro station to Geeta Nagar. The entire length of the metro rail project in Kanpur is 32 km and is being built at a cost of over Rs 11,000 crore.

Prime Minister Modi, during his visit, will also inaugurate the Bina-Panki multiproduct pipeline project, built at a cost of over Rs 1500 crore. The 356 km long project has a capacity of about 3.45 million metric tonnes per annum. Spread from Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh to Panki in Kanpur, the project will help transport petroleum products from Bina Refinery in the region.

IIT Kanpur students will get digital degrees for the first time at the hands of PM Modi:

PM will attend the 54th convocation of IIT Kanpur as the chief guest during his visit to Kanpur on Tuesday. During this time, he will award all the students digital degrees developed at the institute under the National Blockchain Project for the first time. The speciality of these digital degrees is that those can be verified globally.
