New Delhi: In a disturbing accident that took place in UP’s Kanpur on Sunday, a cyclist lost his life after being rammed by a speeding train while attempting to cross the track despite the fatak gates being closed.
A video of the terrifying incident, showing the person getting run over by the train at the railway signal is now doing rounds on the internet, triggering various kinds of reactions from the netizens.

In the chilling footage, one can see a man riding on his bicycle violating the traffic rules by trying to cross the railway tracks despite seeing the fatak closed & several stopped vehicles waiting for the train to pass by. Soon after, he pays for his grave mistake as a speeding train comes and mauls him in the blink of an eye, killing him on the spot.
Besides the unfortunate & negligent cyclist, the viral video also features several careless pedestrians who are spotted risking their lives by crossing the railway line despite seeing the incoming train.

Netizens are now reacting to the video of the unfortunate accident that claimed the life of the cyclist. Although most people are claiming that the incident happened owing to the deceased’s own fault, others are suggesting that Indian Railways should employ an official at such unsupervised fatak (crossings) to ensure no one crosses the tracks unless the gate is open and the signal is green.
