‘On-foot’ journey to meet PM Modi: Kashmiri youth Faheem Nazir begins 900 km trek to Delhi

Nazir said that PM Modi ‘touched his heart’ at one time, when he was addressing a rally and had stopped suddenly on hearing the ‘azaan’.

New Delhi: Fahim Nazir Shah, a youth from Kashmir has taken off on an exceptional journey from Kashmir to national capital Delhi, on foot! 28-year-old Fahim Nazeer Shah is a huge Modi fan and aspires to fulfill his dream to meet PM Modi by the end of his trek.

Nazeer Shah, who works as a part time electrician in Srinagar says, “I’m a big fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”. He has been taking short breaks in his travel, which started two days ago on August 21. After walking for over 200 Kilometers from Shalimar area in Shrinagar, Nazeer reached Udhampur on Sunday.

What inspired Nazir about PM Modi 

Nazir told the media that he has been following PM Modi for last few years on social media. He said that PM Modi ‘touched his heart’ at one time, when he was addressing a rally, and had stopped suddenly on hearing the ‘azaan’ (Muslim call for prayer). He said the kind gesture of PM astonished him and he became his avid fan.

His plans on meeting PM Modi

As per Nazir, he have made a few attempts on meeting PM Modi in last two years, though this time he is sure he will get a chance to meet him.

“During PM’s last visit to Kashmir, security personnel did not allow me to meet him,” he said. He believes that his afoot journey will drive PM’s attention, and would be helpful to fulfill his dream of meeting Narendra Modi.

On Abrogation Of Article 370 

“There situation has changed now, the development activities are being executed at fast pace the Union Territory is moving in a positive direction”, said Nazir when asked about  effects of abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
