Kerala: 8-year-old girl dies after mobile phone which she was using explodes in her face

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, an eight year old girl died after a mobile phone which she was using allegedly exploded on Monday in Kerala, police said.

The girl has been identified as Adithyasree, a resident of Kerala’s Thiruvilvamala.

The incident took place when Adithyasree was using the phone at night, and suddenly the phone she was using exploded in her face at around 10:30 pm on Monday.

The deceased was a student of class 3 in Christ New Life school in Thiruvilwamala. The little girl’s body was shifted to the Thrissur Medical College.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered and Police are investigating the matter.

Earlier, this year a man lost his life after fter battery of his mobile phone allegedly exploded in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district. The man, 68 was found dead inside his house with his body and face extremely damaged.

The man was identified as Barod. He was scheduled to go and visit some place with his friend but when he did not answer the phone call his friends then reached his house and found him dead, police said.
Police also found pieces of  mobile phone near Barod’s body. However, no explosive material were found near his body.

According to reports, the incident took plave when the deceased was allegedly talking to someone while his phone was being charged.
