Ladakh creates Leh-Kargil Police Range

New Delhi: The Union Territory administration of Ladakh on Friday approved the creation of Leh-Kargil Police Range which will have territorial jurisdiction over revenue districts of Leh and Kargil.
An order to this effect was issued by the UT administration’s Home Department.
Reacting to the development, Union Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Dr Jitendra Singh tweeted: “Ladakh begins a new journey after turning into a Union Territory. An exclusive Leh-Kargil Police Range created”.
