New Delhi: Whil the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders face CBI heat in Bihar, the sleuths carried out raids at a mall in Gurugram, which is said to be owned by Lalu Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav.

The searches were conducted at Whiteland Urban Cubes Mall in Sector 71- in Gurugram.

The raids become significant in the light of the fact that Tejashwi Yadav recently took over the Bihar Deputy CM.

Earlier in the day, the sleuths carried out searches at residences of several top leaders of RJD in Patna including MLC Sunil Singh, Rajya Sabha MPs Ashfaq Karim and Faiyaz Ahmed, and former MLC Subodh Rai.

The raids come hours ahead of the Trust vote for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the Assembly today. The JD (U) supremo had snapped ties with the BJP last week and accused the saffron party of destabilizing decade old alliance.

Meanwhile, various teams of the investigating agency are conducting raids at 25 locations in connection with land for jobs scam in various parts of the country including Delhi, Haryana’s Gurugram and Bihar’s Patna, Katihar, and Madhubani districts.

In May 2022, the CBI sleuths had searched premises of former Bihar CM Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi & Tejashwi Yadav.

The case was filed on series of allegations that Lalu Prasad offered jobs in lieu of land plots during his stay as Union railway minister.
