New Delhi: Congress workers in Madhya Pradesh recently got an earful & strong rebuke from party veteran Digvijay Singh apparently for differences and repeated infighting among themselves.

Annoyed and irritated over the lack of groundwork & coordination in the party unit, Digvijay Singh reprimanded the workers & warned them that if they don’t mend their ways, not just the party, they will also face irreparable damages.

Digvijay’s dressing down to the party workers was recorded on camera by someone in the gathering and is being widely circulated after it landed on social media.

In the video, the Congress leader could be heard saying, “You people are not seeing each other eye to eye. Someone is standing here, someone there. No one is willing to talk, how will Congress fight against rivals?”

Further giving a stern warning, he said, “This is the last election of the country. If you don’t dissolve your differences and get together for a collective fight, Congress will never return. All of you will have to sit at home.”

Digvijay Singh was in Ratlam district to attend a wedding. It was there that the Congress leader took note of factionalism among workers in the district and chose to ‘prep up’ them for impending elections in 2024.

In Madhya Pradesh, Congress has been beset with big political challenges as party continues to flounder despite veteran leaders like him and Kamal Nath. The party had toppled Shivraj government but failed to protect its own. Jyotiraditya Scindia’s exit from the party apparently proved to the final nail in the coffin of Congress state unit.
