Liquor policy case: No relief for Manish Sisodia, sent to judicial custody till May 12

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told the court that the investigation against Sisodia is over, however, the probe into the now defunct policy & its alleged beneficiaries is still underway.

New Delhi: Former Delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was on Thursday remanded to judicial custody for another 15 days, in connection with Delhi’s liquor policy scam case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reportedly told the court that the investigation against Sisodia is over, however, the probe into the now defunct policy & its alleged beneficiaries is still underway.

Earlier, reports suggested that Sisodia may get bail from the special court as the Special Judge MK Nagapal had reserved his judgement after hearing arguments, relating to Delhi’s excise policy.

In March 31 hearing, the court had denied bail to former Delhi DY CM on grounds that his release might “adversely affect the ongoing investigation.”
