Lockdown 4.0 from May 18- May 31, Govt to issue guidelines soon

New Delhi: As the lockdown 3.0 comes to an end today, the new phase of Lockdown will begin from tomorrow, with further relaxations in terms of economic activity.

Lockdown 4.0 will be place till May 31 and will aim at gradual revival of economic activities while keeping the preventive measures in check, to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

According to a National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) press release, the ministries and various government departments have been instructed to continue the lockdown measures till May 31.

Lockdown 4.0 guidelines, later in evening

The guidelines for lockdown 4.0 is likely to be declared later this evening after meeting between officials of Centre and states, report said.

Three states — Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Punjab — have already extended lockdown till May 31.
