Lord Ram University in Ayodhya, proposed by CM Yogi Adityanath

The university will let the people around the world know about the life and principles of Lord Ram. It will also include studies on the Hindu religion and culture.

New Delhi: Yogi Adityanth’s UP govt is planning to make a Lord Ram University in Ayodhya. The proposed university will hold studies and research on culture, scriptures, beliefs and religious facts related to Lord Ram.

According to Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma, the university will let the people around the world know about the life and principles of Lord Ram. It will also include studies on the Hindu religion and culture.

The proposed university is likely to be built by the private sector in collaboration with the state government. Many religious leaders have welcomed the proposal. Mahant Paramhans welcomed the move and said that he had written letters in this regard to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister.

Apart from this, higher education minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma also said, “Apart from this, a sports university, Ayush University and law university will also be set up in the districts of Aligarh, Saharanpur and Azamgarh. A concrete action plan has been initiated and a 16-member task force has been formed by the government to establish UP as a centre of higher learning.

He also said that separate steering committees have been formed in the departments of higher education, secondary education, basic education, and technical education.

“Through these steering committees, the direction of implementing the new National Education Policy-2020 is being taken forward,” Dr. Sharma said.
