Lucknow Police attaches properties worth Rs 2,54,24,02,951 of criminal Azmat Ali

On the opposite hand, Rs 77 lakh are deposited within the checking account within the name of a trust, and a bus along side four high-end SUVs worth Rs 1.09 crore will also be attached.

New Delhi: Lucknow police on Monday(July 26) issued order of attachment of properties worth Rs 2,54,24,02,951 of criminal Azmat Ali and properties worth Rs 77,35,530 of criminal Mohd Iqbal, under UP Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986.

Police official said, Azmat Ali and his son are accused in 18 cases lodged at Madiaon police headquarters .

A case under Gangsters Act has also been registered against them, said Lucknow Police Commissioner, DK Thakur.

“We have also made an assessment of their properties worth Rs 254 crore that might be attached,” he said.
Azmat Ali, had a state minister rank in Samajwadi Party(SP) government.

According to police, properties worth Rs 252 include-Career Convent College,Career Institute of Medical Sciences,Hospital, Career PG Institute of Dental Science and hostels, nursing college, and rural health training centre, .
