Madhya Pradesh ex-Cong chief’s insulting remarks against PM Modi angers BJP

Keeping with this ‘tradition’, a senior Congress leader in Madhya Pradesh dished out a disparaging & deprecating remark against the Prime Minister’s father.

New Delhi: Congress leaders have a habit of stoking controversy, especially in poll-bound states, by making derogatory & offensive comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Keeping with this ‘tradition’, a senior Congress leader in Madhya Pradesh dished out a disparaging & deprecating remark against the Prime Minister’s father. Arun Subhash Yadav has also been Madhya Pradesh Congress Pradesh Committee president.

“All BJP leaders welcome in the poll-bound state. JP Nadda is coming to the state. Even if PM Modi’s father wants to come, he is welcome,” said Congress leader in the presser.

The former Congress state president spoke liberally about Congress prospects in the poll-bound state and said that the state was yearning for change and this time, BJP’s mis-governance will result in its ouster from power.

BJP tears into Congress

State BJP leaders lashed out at the Congress party & its former state president for making snide remarks against PM Modi & his father. Slamming the Congress leadership, the saffron party said that people will teach it a lesson for insulting the Prime Minister.

This is not the first time that Congress leaders have sparked off controversy ahead of any state election. In Karnataka, the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge himself courted controversy by making disrespectful insinuation against the Prime Minister.

In Gujarat elections too, a senior Congress leader blurted out disrespectful comments against PM Modi, thus giving the BJP a chance to fire back and rake it into a big poll issue.
