New Delhi: Maharashtra, the state worst hit by coronavirus, on Sunday extended the lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) for two more weeks till May 31.
The third phase of the Covid-19 lockdown will end on Sunday night.

Maharashtra had on Saturday recorded its highest single-day jump in Covid-19 cases with 1,606 new infections, bringing the tally to 30,706. The state’s death toll also jumped by 67 deaths to 1,135.
While the lockdown has been extended for the entire state, an order on phase-wise lifting or relaxation of the curbs will be notified soon.
