Maharashtra: Man assaults doctor after Covid-19 test report, caught on camera

Doctor has filed a complaint and the police have registered the case under relevant sections. Police is now investigating the case.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident from Maharashtra, a man attacked a doctor at the Covid-19 care facility after he and his family got tested and were adjudged Covid+ and Covid- as per the tests. The man tested negative while the three family members tested positive which made him suspicious of test reports.

The incident took place at the Gondia medical facility when a man and three of his family members went there to take the RT-PCR test for COVID-19, reports a leading portal.

The man broke into a rage after test reports came. He claimed that the Covid-19 test reports were false and started thrashing the doctor at Covid facility. The entire incident was recorded on camera.

In the video, the angry man can be seen holding the doctor by the collar. His family members and the people standing by asked him to stop but he was in no mood to listen. Somehow people managed to separate the man from the doctor, but for just a few seconds as the man again entered the frame and attacked the doctor. He repeatedly hit the doctor with his slippers.

Doctors have filed a complaint against the ruffian and the police have registered the case under relevant sections. Police is now investigating the case.

Man penalised for not wearing mask, abusing traffic cop

Yesterday, the Mumbai Police arrested a person for allegedly refusing to wear a mask, verbally abusing and misbehaving with city’s traffic police. The incident took place in the Mulund area of Mumbai. On the basis of the statements, an FIR was registered against the person by the Mumbai Police.
