Anand Sharma has also been given to the list by the committee. Sharma’s name comes among the G-23 leaders who wrote to former chief Sonia Gandhi seeking an organizational overhaul.
Notably, it is the biggest development in Congress after Kharge became the President on October 19. Kharge won the Congress Presidential election after the polls against Kharge in the steering committee.
Earlier in the day, all members of the Working Committee, and general secretaries submitted their resignations to clear the path for Kharge to build a new team.
However, the CWC will continue to work till the poll of Kharge is ratified at the plenary session of the party. The session is scheduled to be held in March-April 2023.
