New Delhi: Mallikarjun Kharge, the newly elected Congress President joined the list of party leaders making disparaging & offending remarks on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as he likened the latter with Ravan at a rally in Gujarat.
Kharge made the unpleasant remarks while addressing a rally in poll-bound Gujarat’s Behrampura.
He said, “We see your (Modi’s) face in corporation elections, MLA elections or MP elections, everywhere… Do you have 100 heads like Raavan?”
Kharge’s objectionable remarks on PM Modi has stoked a major row and is also drawing flak from many quarters.
BJP, furious over Congress chief’s below the belt attack on Prime Minister, has hit out at the Gandhi family and said that this shows how much hate they have for nation’s Prime Minister.
Recalling prior digs at Narendra Modi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that this is not just an isolated or one-off incident. Everybody knows who, from the Congress party, called Narendra Modi ‘maut ka saudagar’ and this ‘hatemongering’ continues even today.
“It is condemnable and shows Congress’ mindset. It’s an insult not just to PM Modi. It is an insult to every Gujarati, to Gujarat,” he said.
Just days ago, senior Congress leader Madhusudan Mistry stirred row by claiming to ‘show PM Modi show his aukat’ in Gujarat elections.
Patra, lashing out at the Congress high command, said “What ‘Aukaat’ will you show Soniaji?. People of Gujarat will teach you a lesson for insulting the pride of Gujarat.”
BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya tweeted a video of Congress President where the latter could be seen comparing Modi to Ravan.
Unable to take the heat of Gujarat election, pushed to the fringe, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge loses control over his words, calls Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Ravan”.
