New Delhi: In the heat of electioneering in poll-bound Bengal, BJP district vice-president Proloy Pal in Nandigram has made startling claims about Mamata Banerjee reaching out to him for ‘assistance’ in winning Nandigram constituency.
Releasing an audio tape, which he claims to between him and Mamata Banerjee, Proloy Pal has claimed that TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee dailed him on Saturday morning and asked him to help her win the seat.
Nandigram is the most hotly contested seat in Bengal elections, where Mamata and her previous aide Suvendu Adhikari are directly pitted against each other.

The audio tape has created strong ripples in Bengal politics, however, its authenticity has been strongly contested by TMC. The audio tape is yet to be verified.
Proloy Pal was ‘humiliated’ in TMC, won’t betray Suvendu
“She wanted me to work for her and return to TMC but I have long been associated with Suvendu Adhikari and the Adhikari family. I am now working for the Bharatiya Janata Party,” a leading portal quoted Pralay Pal as saying.
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya also tweeted, “Massive! Mamata Banerjee calls Proloy Pal, BJP’s district Vice President in Nandigram and pleads for help! Proloy tells her that he was humiliated in TMC and he along with this family cannot betray the BJP. Pishi is definitely losing Nandigram and TMC Bengal…”

Proloy Pal sticks to his claims, says Mamata dialled her at 10.15 AM
The controversial and unverified audio has sparked off political battle between TMC and BJP. TMC leaders have called it an ‘election gimmick’ by the saffron party to beguile the voters but asserted that such ‘tactics’ won’t work.
Meanwhile, the BJP leader Proloy Pal himself came before the media and backed his claims. He stood by his words and reiterated that she got a call from Didi, this morning at about 10.15 AM.
