New Delhi: In yet another horrific incident, a man was arrested on Sunday after an encounter with the police for killing a woman and chopping her body in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh.

The body parts of the victim were found in a well.

The accused has been identified as Prince Yadav, he was hit by a bullet in an encounter with the police on Sunday. The police had to fire on him when he tried to use it against the police.

The incident came to the limelight on November 15 after locals found the body inside a well located outside Paschimi village.

The victim was later identified as Aradhana. Her body was found in a semi-naked condition.

This incident comes at a time when a similar case has been reported in Delhi where a 28-year-old man had murdered and chopped his live-in partner’s body in 25 pieces and stored them in a refrigerator and then disposed of them in different parts of the city in several days.

Prince killed Aradhana with the help of his parents, cousin Sarvesh, and other family members who had planned to kill her.

According to reports, Yadav had an affair with the victim, who had gotten married to someone else earlier this year.

It was on November 9th, that Yadav took Aradhana to a temple where Prince with the help of Sarvesh, strangled her in a sugarcane field.

Several weapons have been recovered by police in the case so far.
