New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid foundation of State Institute Forensic Science in Uttar Pradesh today.
“Students will shape their careers in this institute. Many Forensic Science colleges will be opened in different states by 2024, ” said Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
“The Yogi govt has done wonderful work during both waves of Covid,” said Amit Shah.
The UP Institute of Forensic Sciences is being viewed as an upcoming centre of excellence in the field of scientific crime investigation with modern facilities and technology. This institute will set the best standards of study, education, research and training and it would act as a resource centre in forensic science, behavioural science, civil and crime law by becoming a pool of trained manpower.

Once augmented, the UP Institute of Forensic Sciences will not only cooperate in investigation of complex crimes but also provide better opportunities for education and employment to the youth of the state. Scheduled to be headed by a senior police officer, students of science and information technology (IT) stream will be able to pursue courses in various subjects at the institute.
