Masked man ‘caught plotting to kill 4 farm leaders’ makes U-turn, says ‘was reading script given by farmers’

In a video that surfaced on social media following his arrest by Sonepat Police, the masked man has said that he was reading a script given to him by the farmers.

New Delhi: A masked man who was caught by the farmers at Singhu border protest site has done a flip-flop on his claims. His video has gone viral in which he claims that he was merely reading the script given by farmers.

In a video that surfaced following his arrest by Sonepat Police, the masked man has said that he was reading a script given to him by the farmers.

Sonepat Police hasn’t certified this viral video but they claimed that the man was not carrying any arm or ammunition.

“We are questioning him but nothing has been found that points to any conspiracy,” the official said.

Farm leaders nabbed masked man, presented him before media

Earlier on Friday night, the farmer leaders presented the man who claimed that his accomplices were asked to pose as policemen and baton-charge the crowd during the tractor parade on Republic Day.

The man, who was made to sit and speak in the press conference, claimed that their team was given weapons at two places.

“During January 26 tractor rally, it was planned that half of the people [of his team] will be present wearing police uniforms to scatter the farmers’ groups. We were also given the photograph of four people, who were to be shot, present at the stage. The person who directed us is a cop,” the masked man further claimed.

The farmer leaders claimed that they caught the man from the protest site at the Singhu border. He was subsequently handed over to the Haryana police.
