When he was offered tea, he refused it and said that he will order from outside as he does not trust the police.

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief, Akhilesh Yadav, visited Uttar Pradesh police headquarters in Lucknow in the arrest case of SP media cell’s Twitter operator Manish Jagan Agrawal. Akhilesh is taking a jibe at the UP government after the arrest of their party worker.

Refusing the tea, the SP chief said that he would not drink the tea served at the headquarters. He added that the party members will bring their own tea and would take the cup from the headquarters if they offer. Making a big remark he said they cannot drink the tea as he fears they poison them and moreover does not trust the police.

Manish Agrawal was arrested after the social media in-charge of BJP’s youth wing, Dr Richa Rajput, complained of receiving a death and rape threat from SP’s Twitter handle. Dr Richa also alleged that if anything happens to her, then Akhilesh Yadav will be responsible for it. The accused is arrested by the Hazratganj police under sections 153 A, 153 B, 295 A, IT act sections 66, 67, 67a, 67b and other sections of IPC. The complaint was registered on January 6.
