Monsoon Session of Parliament: PM Modi says “There should be dialogue with an open mind, if necessary, there should be a debate”

New Delhi: Ahead of Monsoon Session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this period is very important. He said that this is the period of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

“There is a special significance of 15th Aug & coming 25 yrs – when nation would celebrate 100 yrs of independence, would be the time to make a resolution to decide our journey&the new heights we scale, ” said PM Modi.

PM Modi said, “This Session is also important because elections for the office of President & Vice President are taking place right now. Voting (for the Presidential election) is taking place today. During this period, the new President and Vice President will begin guiding the nation.”

He further said that there should be dialogue in the Parliament with an open mind, if necessary, there should be a debate.

He also urged all MPs to contemplate deeply & discuss.

He also said that there should be Opposition, close analysis for constructive contribution to policy making.
