Muslim cleric accused of sexually assaulting 11-year-old boy on the run in UP’s Meerut

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut police started the investigation into a case of sexual assault of an 11-year-old boy by a Muslim cleric in a Madarsa. It is reported the cleric was involved in the crime for the last 7 months.

The boy revealed the ordeal to his parents on Eid. After knowing the incident, the boy’s parents lodged a complaint to the police on Saturday. Currently, the accused is on the run. The media reports suggest the accused, Abdul Kalam, runs a madrasa in Mawana’s Ekram Nagar Fareed Colony.

The shocking incident is reported to happen in Mawana town in Meerut.
