#When doctors study Yoga, the entire world takes it more seriously. Can IMA take these studies forward in mission mode? Can these evidence-based studies be taken ahead in a scientific way? Can studies on Yoga be published in international journals?

# Our doctors, their knowledge and experience in helping us battle this COVID19 virus. Budget allocation for the health sector has been doubled:

# Our government has given paramount priority to healthcare. Last year, during the 1st wave, we had allotted Rs 15,000 crore to improve our health infrastructure.

This year, allocation of budget for healthcare is over Rs 2 lakh crore.
# When the country is fighting a major battle against COVID, the doctors have saved lakhs of lives. Several doctors have even sacrificed themselves in their tireless efforts. I pay my tributes to all these souls.

# The way our doctors have served the country is an inspiration in itself. I pay my gratitude to all doctors from 130 crore Indians.

What PM Modi wrote on Twitter:

Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “On Doctors Day, my greetings to all doctors. India’s strides in the world of medicine are commendable and have contributed to making our planet healthier. ”

Like every year, the country will be celebrating National Doctors’ Day on July 1 to honour the contributions of the doctors. The first National Doctor’s day was celebrated in the country in July 1991.
