New Delhi: In a male-dominated industry and society, the story of Neetu Singh is of a novice learning the ropes of business, riding the ladders of success, step by step and eventually reaching the pinnacle of Fashion Industry.
Starting off as an artisan, Neetu metamorphosed herself into a leading entrepreneur as she had set the bar very high for herself. Her entrepreneurial feat has been winning her accolades and recognition. In latest accomplishment, she has been chosen as the businesswoman for the cover page of leading magazine – Women Entrepreneur. (November issue).
Narrating her inspiring and motivating journey, Neetu Singh (Managing Director, SINI DESIGNS) says, “Reading the mind and pulse of consumer and ensuring delivery of products with punctuality, quality and competitive pricing are some unique factors which helped catapult SINI to unprecedented heights.”
Today, Neetu’s enterprises export fashion accessories and garments to more than 50 countries including US, Canada, Europe etc. And, thus aptly describes the motive of her company – Inspired from India and crafted for the world.
Her endeavours in training artisans, exhibitions, seminars and cluster development progress is no secret and with help of Central govt, she has created a workforce to reckon with. She has also been training un-privileged artisans as well.
Sharing message for bussing entrepreneurs, she said, “Sustainability should be the core building block of design, it should be integrated into everything we do. I suggest the same way about digital design. We have a responsibility to ensure that the impact of every one of our design decisions is positive and not negative.”
Origin & Growth of SINI DESIGNS
After completing her studies, Neetu Singh wanted to do something to help underprivileged women. She started out by training a few poor artisans in fashion designing which slowly grew into cluster of artisans with improved expertise.
In last 14 years of her entrepreneurship, she has won lots of awards, recognitions, and most importantly a sense of self-fulfilment.

SINI was conceived as export-oriented venture. Neetu plans to open her first retail store in India by November 2021 and wants to convert the company operations into mass production so that more and more unprivileged and disadvantaged artisans could be roped in for overall welfare of the community.
