“Nobody can stop Covid-19 deaths, people get old and they have to die,” says MP Minister Prem Pal Singh (Video)

His comments come two days after a BJP leader in Shahdol district of the state openly violated the state’s coronavirus guidelines to celebrate his birthday.

New Delhi: In a new shocker from Madhya Pradesh, Minister Prem Pal Singh said that nobody can stop COVID-19 deaths, as people get and they die. Minister Singh was telling people to take all nessecary precautions and follow the state government’s guidelines when he made this comment. His comment is drawing criticism on social media as well.

When asked about deaths in the state due to COVID-19, Minster said, “Nobody can stop these deaths. Everyone is talking about cooperation for protection from corona…You said that many people are dying every day. People get old and they have to die.”

His comments come two days after a BJP leader in Shahdol district of the state openly violated the state’s coronavirus guidelines to celebrate his birthday in a grand way. The leader was BJP’s Shahdol district president Kamal Pratap who celebrated his birthday even when a lockdown was imposed in the district.

In another tragic incident from Madhya Pradesh, Surendra Sharma, a COVID patient died after the hospital staff allegedly removed his oxygen support.

Deepak Tiwari, son of the deceased said, “My father was having a breathing problem. His condition was not good and he was given oxygen support. But last night, the hospital staff removed his oxygen supply. When I reach here, I requested the staff including a nurse to give him the oxygen but they denied and that is why he lost his life.”

Protesting against the alleged poor health services in Madhya Pradesh, Congress MLAs organised a silent sit-in at the Mahatma Gandhi statue, Bhopal. MLAs had empty oxygen cylinders in their hand.

Madhya Pradesh reported 8,998 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the health department information on Tuesday.
