New Delhi: From theme-based clothing to theme-based decoration, we all get enthusiastic about ‘themes’ in celebrations. If you are a food explorer then you might have come across numerous theme-based restaurants and cafes that provide a specific kind of environment to their customers.
Focusing particularly on the Indian capital region, there are restaurants that exemplify the South Indian theme, and Chinese themes, among others. The idea is to basically make the customers comfortable in their chosen surroundings and make them explore different cultures.
Something along the same lines came under the limelight with Harsh Goenka’s tweet including a video of jail themed restaurant. It might look like an inconsiderable idea to many; however, it has created a huge buzz on social media. Goenka called upon the often famous dialogue of the reel life which satirically says to enjoy the jail environment.
The posted video is of a vlogger who introduces a gate named ‘central jail’ which opens to various prison cells with a sitting arrangement for the customers to enjoy the cuisine. It shows waiters dressed as policemen and as prisoners taking orders and serving the delicacies.

Looking at this bizarre Bengaluru restaurant, Twitter users came up with an avalanche of comments and responses taking the video viewing number to 67.2 K so far. Soon after posting the video, Goenka got flooded with comments raising jokes like if someone complains about anything, they’ll get jail treatment.
Besides all these buzzing comments, the creativity of the restaurant should indeed be applauded.
