New Delhi: PM Modi delivered a nearly one and half hour speech in the Lok Sabha thanking the President for her address. In his address, he indirectly gave befitting replies to the Opposition and also noted the government’s achievements in the last nine years. On the other hand, the Opposition was not satisfied with the response as the PM did not mention Gautam Adani in his speech.
Prime Minister said that the Opposition cannot understand the reason behind the nation’s unflinching faith in his leadership and the faith acts as an armour for him. Punching holes in the Opposition’s claims of Modi-Adani collusion, he said that what makes citizens believe in him and his government is not because of some newspaper headlines or TV appearances but because of the ‘utmost commitment and devotion with which he served the nation.”
That day on 24th Jan, at a public rally, I had said, “Terrorists pay heed. On 26th Jan, sharp at 11am I will reach Lal Chowk without security & bulletproof jacket. Faisla Lal Chowk pe hoga kisne apni maa ka doodh piya hai.” Then I hoisted the Tricolour at Lal Chowk: PM Modi pic.twitter.com/FGVzQauPcl

He said that he gave up his full life for the betterment of 140 crore citizens and the progress of the country and this remains a hard truth.
Congress is clearly not convinced by PM Modi’s speech. Rahul Gandhi in his first reaction after the speech said that Prime Minister looked shell-shocked over his series of charges. Even some of the Opposition members walked out of the Lok Sabha after demanding the PM to speak about the Adani row.
However, here are some instances which show that Narendra Modi stood the test of time even in adverse and highly unfavourable situations. He also mentioned them in his speech in Lok Sabha.
