New Delhi: The allegations against the Maharashtra Home Minister are serious, said NCP Chief Sharad Pawar on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s letter to CM.

He further said, the Maharashtra CM has the full authority to take a decision regarding an inquiry on these allegations against the Home Minister.

He said that Param Bir Singh is making wild allegations because he was removed as Mumbai police commissioner.

Sharad Pawar  said that it was Param Bir Singh who decided to reinstate Sachin Waze in police force last year.

Sharad Pawar further suggested Uddhav Thackeray to seek former IPS officer Julio Ribeiro’s help for looking into claims by Param Bir Singh.

When asked about the removable of Anil Deshmukh as home minister, he said ‘Will discuss with Uddhav Thackeray.’

I don’t know whether efforts are being made or not to topple the government (Maharashtra). All I can say is they will have no impact on the government, said NCP Chief Sharad Pawar

On the other hand, MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday said that “Anil Deshmukh should resign immediately. The main issue is that of an explosive-laden vehicle being found near the residence of an industrialist. I request the Central Government to intervene. The State government cannot investigate this matter.”
