New Delhi: In Bihar’s Patna, an angry mob hurled stones at the convoy of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday. Due to this, the windows of three to four cars cracked. Luckily, the CM was not available in the convoy. The incident reportedly occurred on the Gauri Chowk near the Patan-Gaya route.

Notably, the incident happened just two ahead of the CM’s scheduled visit to oversee the construction of the rubber dam on August 22. The vehicles were heading to Gaya before the CM’s visit from the Helicopter.

Nitish Kumar dumps BJP to join RJD

In the 243-member Bihar Assembly, Nitish Kumar’s party JD(U) was in power in an alliance with the BJP after the 2020 election. However, Nitish Kumar left the BJP on August 9 to join Lalu Yadav’s party RJD.

In an alliance with the RJD, Nitish Kumar has again become the Bihar CM and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav is serving in the new government as his Deputy.
