PM Modi, Amit Shah to participate in Gujarat CM’s swearing-in ceremony on Dec 12

New Delhi: As the BJP’s triumph has almost been confirmed in the early results of the Gujarat election, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is set to take oath for the second time in the state. The swearing-in ceremony of Bhupendra Patel will reportedly take place on December 12. In the ceremony, PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will also participate, according to reports.

The BJP is currently leading in 158 of 186 seats in the state. In the 2022 election, BJP is expected to bag over 150 seats more than that of the 2017 assembly election.

After forming the government, the BJP has not lost the state election in Gujarat since 1995. PM Modi is expected to address party workers on the big win in Delhi at Party headquarters at around 6-6:30 PM.

The polling in the state was held in two phases — December 1 and December 5. In the first phase on December 1, the polling was held in 89 seats while the polling for the remaining 93 seats was held on December 5.

Vote share

As per the data on party-wise vote share, BJP has a 52.5% vote share, followed by Congress (27.3%) and AAP (12.9%).
