New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation today, announced that the three contentious farm laws will be repealed.
The announcement of the repeal of the three farm laws comes ahead of the crucial Assembly elections in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur scheduled to be held early next year.

Govt made all efforts to disrupt anti-farm laws protest, called them Khalistani, terrorists, but farmers’ didn’t give up. Farmers proved that the Centre eventually will have to listen to the people. Haryana Dy CM : We welcome Centre’s decision to repeal the Farm Laws on the occasion of Guru Parv. This is a commendable step for the reinstatement of peace & harmony in society. I appeal to all farmer orgs to end their protest. We’ll continue to make effort for farmers’ welfare.
