We experienced strength of togetherness of 130 crore Indians yesterday: PM Modi
New Delhi: A false message is being circulated on social media which reads- ” PM Modi has done so much for our nation, lets us all give him standing ovation and salute him on 12th April 5 p.m”.
It further reads, “Everyone is requested to stand in their house balconies at 5 PM for 5 minutes and give him a standing ovation”.
After it came to the PMO notice, PM Modi himself took to Twitter to counter this ‘misinformation campaign’ apparently by some vested interests to weaken the battle against Coronavirus.
PM Narendra Modi tweeted that “It has been brought to my attention that some people are running a campaign that to to honour Modi stand for 5 minutes. At first glance, it seems like a mischief to drag Modi into controversies”.

Refrain even if it’s done out of goodwill: Modi’s clear message
In followed tweet PM Modi wrote – Maybe someone is doing out of goodwill, yet I insist that if you really have so much love and want to honour Modi, then take the responsibility of a poor family, at least as long as the Coronavirus crisis exists. There can be no greater honour for me than this.
