New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday received the first Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award with a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh. However, he wrote a letter to Mangeshkar for permission to donate the cash prize to a charity. After the permission, the cash money was donated in a charity fund. ''Our Trust has decided to donate it to the PM Cares Fund,'' said Hridayanth Mangeshkar, musician and younger brother of singing legend, late Lata Mangeshkar.
