PM Modi showers praise on singer Swati Mishra’s ‘Ram Aayenge’ bhajan; latter overwhelmed

New Delhi: A devotional song on Lord Ram by singer Swati Mishra today earned appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) and termed the song on Ram Lalla as mesmerizing. He also shared the soulful song on Ram Lalla and wrote, “This devotional bhajan by Swati Mishra ji is mesmerizing.”

Bhojpuri singer Swati Mishra shared ‘Ram Aayenge’ song on her YouTube channel in October 2023. The song has taken the internet by storm since then and has garnered over 43 million views so far.

Swati overwhelmed over PM’s admiration

The singer, who didn’t anticipate appreciation from Prime Minister even ‘in wildest dreams’, said she was overwhelmed and brimming with emotion over such acceptance & admiration for her song.

Taking to her social media account, she posted, “Lord Rama has shown his mercy on me.”

She shared screenshot of Prime Minister’s words of appreciation and also shared a link to her devotional song.

Ram Temple consecration on Jan 22

PM Modi is all set to attend the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. He will perform the rituals of consecration ceremony, scheduled at around 12.15 PM.

The Pran Pratistha ceremony will see the idol of Ram Lalla placed inside the sanctum sanctorum (garbha griha) of the newly built temple, in presence of distinguished personalities & attendees. Afterwards, the grand temple will be opened for public darshan.

For the unversed, the Ram Lalla idol, carved by Karnataka’s Arun Yogiraj has been finalized and will be placed on January 22.

More than 7,000 VIP guests including 3,000 VVIP guests are set to witness the Pran Pratistha ceremony, which would include industrialists, sportspersons, businessmen, Bollywood celebrities and hundreds of priests & saints.

Tent cities have been erected at many places in the holy city to increase town’s accommodation capacity as lakhs of people are likely to converge to the town during this period.

The foundation stone of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.
