PM Modi tears into Congress, says ‘UPA changed name to I.N.D.I.A to hide its wrong deeds’

PM Modi questioned the motive behind new alliance and said that this was not done because of their love for the nation but for ‘looting India’.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a searing attack on the Congress & Opposition parties over their new political alliance – I.N.D.I.A.

PM Modi’s strong criticism of the new Opposition alliance came at the Sikar gathering, where he launched slew of development projects.

PM Modi said that the Opposition parties ganged up under a new alliance to hide its wrongdoings in previous tenures including UPA I & UPA II.

“They changed their name from UPA to INDIA to conceal their ill-intentions & schemes against poor,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi said that the name-changing was similar to the modus operandi of fraud companies.

“The fraud companies used to change their names and operate under a new entity but their character & nature wouldn’t change, so is the case with this alliance,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi questioned the motive behind new alliance and said that this was not done because of their love for the nation but for ‘looting India’.

“Had they been concerned about nation, would they have questioned surgical strikes in Pakistan? Had they been patriotic enough, would they have schemed against the poor and questioned their own country from foreign shores?” PM Modi said at the rally.

PM Modi’s call for ‘Quit INDIA’

PM Modi said that this was the same party which rallies behind tukde-tukde gang and attempted division of the country on language, on multiple occasions.

“For them, votebank politics is above the nation”, he said in sharp rebuke.

Recalling India Is Indira, Indira is India slogan of 1970s, PM Modi said that the nation taught it a lesson then and similar ‘treatment’ will be done by the public, this time also.

“They will have to pay the price for their arrogance this time also,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi also gave a call for ‘Quit INDIA’ at the Sikar event, saying that it’s time that nation abandons dynasty politics, appeasement politics and all other evils, only then the nation could see seamless progress.

Recalling Mahatma Gandhi’s Quit India movement, he said that countrymen had filled the jails, students had opted out from colleges on Bapu’s call for nation’s independence and now was again a time for the same.
