# The new railway station will be a microcosm of legacy and most-modern state-of-the-art facilities and passenger amenities. Reportedly, both the heritage and landmarks of Gorakhpur would reflect in the architectural design of the new station.

# Crowd management will be a major thrust area while airport undergoes renovation. As the station’s capacity is expected to grow from 92,000 to 1.6 lakh daily over next 50 years, the area of railway station would be expanded to cater to the needs of all. The new station will be spread over an area of over 6,300 square metres and have a capacity to handle over 3,500 people at a time.

# The revamped station will have dedicated zones of eating outlets, food plazas, kids play area and ATM machines. Also, there would be small hotel & hospital facilities in the station.

# Passengers will have access to station via one gate and exit via another gate. There would be 44 lifts and 22 escalators at the railway station.

# Post redevelopment, the Gorakhpur railway station will not set a new benchmark for other small cities but will also emerge as a major commercial hub of the city.
