PM Modi to meet top business tycoons, scientists & economists during US visit

During his three-day visit, starting with first stop at New York, PM Modi is expected to meet over 2 dozen eminent & distinguished US citizens including Nobel laureates, economists, scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs and academicians.

New Delhi: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaving for historic state visit to United States on Tuesday, a raft of meetings with top CEOs of global multinational firms are planned during the three day trip from June 21 – June
23.

PM Modi’s address to joint sitting of US Congress, state dinner at White House hosted by the Bidens are indeed the big events of three-day trip but the slew of meetings with top US economists, scientists & top business honchos is also making the headlines.

During his three-day visit, starting with first stop at New York, PM Modi is expected to meet over 2 dozen eminent & distinguished US citizens including Nobel laureates, economists, scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs and academicians.

Among the notable names are billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and Neil deGrasse Tyson, an world-renowned astrophysicist and science communicator.

Other high-profile personalities who are likely to call on PM Modi include Paul Romer, an economist and Nobel laureate; Ray Dalio, billionaire investor and philanthropist; Michael Froman.

PM Modi is also likely to meet Jeff Smith, political scientist and author; Dr. Peter Agre, Nobel laureate in Chemistry; Chandrika Tandon, a Grammy-nominated musician.

PM Modi left for his landmark visit to US, this morning. Before heading for state visit, he also spoke about the stronger & deepening ties between the two nations and also said there exists an unprecedented level of trust between the leaders of two countries.
