PM Modi, US President Joe Biden to review robust and multifaceted India-US ties in their Sep 24 meeting

The main elements of the program will be the first in-person meeting with US President Joe Biden, QUAD leaders meet and United Nations General Assembly session.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be leaving for US tomorrow morning and return back to India on September 26.

PM Modi and US President Joe Biden will also review robust and multifaceted India-US ties in their Sep 24 meeting in Washington.

PM Modi will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including the EAM, NSA.

Foreign Secy HV Shringla said that the main elements of the program will be the first in-person meeting with US Pres, QUAD Leaders meet & UNGA.

According to reports, PM Modi- US Pres bilateral meeting will also feature current regional security situation following developments in Afghanistan.

The need to stem radicalisation, extremism, cross-border terrorism & dismantling of global terror networks will also be discussed, said Foreign Secy HV Shringla.

The bilateral engagement includes meeting with US Vice-President Kamala Harris. This will be PM Modi’s first formal interaction with the vice president, said Foreign Secretary HV Shringla.
