New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday will address the nation from the iconic Red Fort on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. This will be PM Modi’s eighth consecutive Independence Day speech as the Prime Minister of India since 2014. He is likely, to begin with, his speech around 7:30 am.
The security has been tightened up as Delhi police have already made security arrangements across the national capital and at the Red Fort.
India’s Olympic contingent has been invited by the Prime Minister for the Independence Day ceremony at the Red Fort. India won a record 7 medals including a Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.
President Ram Nath Kovind will address the nation on the eve of I-Day and will also host the Indian contingent over high tea.
