Since joining Twitter in 2009, during his tenure as Gujarat’s chief minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has actively engaged with social media. His Twitter following began to grow steadily, reaching one million followers within a year. Fast forward to July 2023, and the Prime Minister’s follower count has surpassed a significant milestone, reaching 90 million.
According to the list released by World of Statistics on its official Twitter handle on July 9, Prime Minister Modi is the only Indian among the top 10 individuals who are most followed on Twitter in the world.
