New Delhi: The Centenary celebrations for Pramukh Swami ji Maharaj will be held in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad next month and the preparations are in full swing to make the occasion a big success. The city is all decked up and ready for the Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav, which is likely to see a big turnout of his followers & those belonging to Swaminarayan Sampradya. The organizers are pulling out all stops to make the centenary celebrations a big success and also making it a big spiritual event to proliferate his teachings on life.
On 100th birth anniversary of one of the highly revered saints of Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), effort is being made to propagate his values & teachings on life to as many people as possible.
“In the joys of others lies our own’ was the motto of Pramukh Swamiji Maharaj and he worked tirelessly & tenaciously all his life with this belief for the betterment of human lives & society.
The grand celebration for Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav is being held in Ahmedabad between 15 December 2022 to 15 January 2023. It will see large number of followers & people descending to the town for the pious occasion. The grand event is open & accessible for all, starting from 2 pm to 10pm on weekdays and entire day from 9am to 10pm on Sundays.
The first half of the day has been kept reserved for devotees while in the latter part, any person can come & attend the centenary celebrations. Devotees can get themselves registered via a volunteer body named ‘karyakar’ – the Satsang Activities Volunteer.
A workforce of about 20,000 volunteers is engaged in preparation of pandal, social amenities & other accessory arrangements. A large network of professionals across various segments in water, food, security, electricity & sanitation department are working round the clock to make the venue ready for the grand festival.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar built for celebrations
Expecting a big influx of devotees & people for the centenary celebrations, the organizers have raised a colossal ‘Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar’ spread over 600 acre land. An elaborate traffic regulations have been put in place at the Sardar Patel Ring road for easy & smooth movement of vehicles.
Lot many exhibitions including grand temple, state of the art auditoriums, light & sound show, light parks are some of the big attractions at Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar. They will not just provide visitors a life-time experience but it’s aura will also reverberate across the world.
A magnificent entry gate with 51 feet height & 280 feet width gives a peek into the ‘mini town’ erected for observing the 100th year celebrations. Many gates have been erected across the length & breath of this colossal structure to facilitate smooth & hassle-free entry of devotees & visitors.
Pramukh Swami ji Maharaj’s grand idol a big attraction
As the devotees & visitors make an entry into the ‘mini-town’ with sprawling greenery, they will be greeted by a grand gold-plated idol erected at a height of 15 feet from the ground. The devotees can pay obeisance to Pramukh Swamiji Maharaj and also get enlightened from various paintings & exhibitions put up here to make people aware about life & teachings of the revered saint.
In the center of Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar, a 67 feet tall replica of Delhi’s Akshardham Temple has been erected. Those visiting the city will not just get a glimpse of grand Centenary celebrations but will have a pilgrimage like experience like never before.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar boasts of wide array of spiritual services that will keep the town buzzing with spiritualism & enlightening people over a month. In the state-of-the art auditorium, many revered figures of national & international acclaim will address the gathering of devotees on spiritualism and also hold interactive sessions.
