Pran Pratistha event: PM Modi sleeping on floor, coconut water is his only diet for 11 days

‘Yam Niyam’ calls for series of austere measures in one’s life. One is expected to strictly follow a disciplined schedule over the 11-day period like waking up & worshipping at an auspicious time, consuming only ‘satvik’ food and paying obeisance to Lord via Yoga, meditation & other means.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sleeping on the floor and having coconut water as his only diet, as part of his 11-day ‘anushthan’ (special ritual) for the Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, slated for January 22.

According to reports, PM Modi is following ‘Yam Niyam’ for 11 days and is strictly adhering to the rituals and also following all the instructions as laid down in the scriptures.

All through the 11-day, PM Modi will be observing fast with strict penance and austerity. Prime Minister is sleeping on the floor with only a blanket and drinking coconut water only, since the beginning of ‘anusthan’. The strict routine will continue till the Pran Prastistha day on January 22.

On January 12, PM Modi had spoken about starting the special ritual for the historic ceremony. He said that he was fortunate to witness the historic & auspicious occasion of Pran Pratistha.

PM Modi has also urged the citizens to join the celebrations and light up a ‘Ram Jyoti’ at their homes, on the day of consecration.

Consecration is the manifestation of divine consciousness in the deity’s idol and remains a must do thing for every idol, after its installation. The auspicious time for consecration ceremony has been decided at around 12.30 PM on Jan 22.

PM Modi, the main ‘yajman’ will be doing the the puja for ‘Pran Pratistha’ at the grand Ram Temple.

Meanwhile, the Ram Lalla idol – a depiction of Lord Ram at five years of age was installed at the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple today evening.

The Pran Pratistha will see more than 7,000 esteemed guests from across the country, who have been sent an invite by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust for being part of the historic ceremony.
