New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders condoled the death of Former Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.
He passed away at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Sunday, where he was admitted and was being treated for post-COVID complications.
Condoling the death, President Kovind said, “The passing away of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh is tragic. An outstanding leader rooted to the ground, he was a true stalwart with a phenomenal understanding of rural India. Condolences to his family & followers.”
Taking it to Twitter, PM Modi said, “Raghuvansh Prasad Singh is no more among us. His demise has left a void in the political sphere of Bihar as well as the country.”
श्री रघुवंश प्रसाद सिंह जी के निधन के साथ ही गाँव व किसान की एक मज़बूत आवाज़ सदा के लिए खो गई है।
गाँवों व किसानों के उत्थान के लिए उनकी सेवा और लगन तथा सामाजिक न्याय के लिए उनके संघर्ष को सदा याद रखा जाएगा।

He was 74 years old. Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav took to Twitter to post: “Dear Raghuvansh Babu! What did you do? I told you the day before yesterday, you are not going anywhere. But you went so far. I am speechless. I am sad. Will miss you very much.”

Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav said, passing away of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has left them alone.
