Priyanka Gandhi welcomes govt decision to cancel CBSE class 10 exam; demands cancellation of class 12 exam

Union Education Minister further told ANI that students of class 10th to be promoted on basis of internal assessment. If student not satisfied with the internal assessment then can give examination once situation will be Normal.

New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has welcomed the decision of the government to cancel the CBSE class 10 examination and demanded that class 12 exam should also be cancelled.

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka Gandhi wrote, “Glad the government has finally cancelled the 10th standard exams however a final decision MUST be taken for the 12th grade too. Keeping students under undue pressure until June makes no sense. It’s unfair. I urge the government to decide now.”

Earlier today, after a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi the government announced cancellation of Class 10th exam; meanwhile, Class 12th exams have been postponed.

“Results of Class 10th will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Class 12th exams will be held later, the situation will be reviewed on 1st June by the Board,” it added.
