
Punjab Polls 2022: PM Modi cancelled his rally in Ferozepur, said Sources on Wednesday. PM was scheduled to lay the foundation stones for several projects today.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that PM Modi had to cancel his rally due “to some reasons”.
Also, MHA said there was security lapse, after which it was decided to head back to Bathinda airport.
Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) also said it has sought a detailed report from the state government.
This was PM Modi’s first visit to Punjab since the repeal of the three farm laws. MHA said it has asked State Government to fix responsibility for this lapse and take strict action

Hours before heading to Punjab, PM Modi tweeted, “I look forward to being among my sisters and brothers of Punjab today. At a programme in Ferozepur, the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 42,750 crore would be laid, which will improve the quality of life for the people.”
