New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today updated his Twitter account bio to Dis’Qualified MP.
This comes days after Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as a Member of Parliament after he was convicted in a criminal defamation case over his ‘Modi surname’ remark.
He was disqualified as a Member of Lok Sabha from the date of his conviction (March 23) in the criminal defamation case over his ‘Modi surname’ remark.
In April 2019, Rahul Gandhi made the “how come all the thieves have Modi as the common surname” remark at a Lok Sabha election rally at Kolar in Karnataka.
After being disqualified from Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi had said that he is not scared of being arrested and his disqualification from Parliament was aimed at distracting people from the Adani issue.
In 2019, Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the BJP-led central government is allegedly protecting businessman Gautam Adani.
In his addresses, he said “Why is the BJP-led centre allegedly protecting the businessman Gautam Adani? Kyuki aap hi Adani ho”.
On the other hand, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is holding a day-long ‘Sankalp Padyatra’ near Raj Ghat after Rahul Gandhi was disqualified from Lok Sabha.
Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress leader and Rahul Gandhi’s sister had hit out at the BJP-led Centre over the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi.
