New Delhi: A video of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi partying at a nightclub has emerged on social media, even as the party holds back to back parleys to brainstorm over string of losses in Assembly elections.

The video was shared by BJP spokesperson Tejinder Bagga on Twitter. In the undated video, the Wayanad MP can be seen ‘spending time’ with a girl at the dimly lit nightclub. The video clip is reportedly from Nepal’s capital Kathmandu and has gone viral on the social media.

The timing of Rahul Gandhi spending a light moment abroad has sparked controversy as Congress-ruled state Rajasthan is burning with stone-pelting incident a night before Eid. BJP leaders have launched scathing attack on Rahul for engaging in merrymaking while Rajasthan’s Jodhpur faces chaotic scenes.

Moreover, Rahul has been lambasting Modi government and also took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Europe trip. He accused the Centre of throwing nation in throes of crisis and blamed it for power outage to job losses to many others. He claimed that Modi govt’s 8-year rule was a classic case of how fastest growing nation can be turned into a ruined state.

Commenting on PM Modi’s Europe trip, he said that there is a crisis in the country but the Saheb likes being abroad.

BJP I-T incharge Amit Malviya took a dig at him and said that Gandhi scion is busy partying while party is exploding.

“Rahul Gandhi was at a nightclub when Mumbai was under seize. He is at a nightclub at a time when his party is exploding. He is consistent.
Interestingly, soon after the Congress refused to outsource their presidency, hit jobs have begun on their Prime Ministerial candidate (sic),” Malviya tweeted.

Rahul’s foreign trips have been the scanner after BJP came to power in 2014. Time and again, his ‘sudden absence’ from political scene especially after the debacles has given enough ammo to saffron party.
